Paul Knörr

My name is no longer a surprise. In recent years I have been active in law enforcement in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I have suffered many traumatic incidents that have left me with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and have been on disability retirement since 2018.

I have experienced that diving and developing websites distracts me and prevents me from dissociating. That is why I focus as much as possible on these activities to, as my psychologist says, maintain my enjoyment of life.

Scuba Diving

I got my Open Water Diver certificate in Croatia in 2014 and haven’t dived for quite some time since. Through my work as a law enforcement officer at the Dutch National Police, I have been confronted with several traumatic incidents, which have resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I have experienced that diving distracts me and prevents me from dissociating. I am now a diving instructor and in this way I try to help fellow sufferers to regain quality of life through diving!

Videography

Making and editing videos is fun, especially if you can combine it with diving. I go to places where most people don’t go or can’t go. While diving I use a GoPro 7 with external lighting to make my videos. This way I can’t let the non-divers among us enjoy all the beautiful things that can be seen in the ocean below the surface! Photography

I have been a photographer since 2001. I started with a simple camera, but I soon discovered that photography is certainly a fun hobby. I photographed various subjects such as landscapes, buildings and portraits. Since I liked portraits the most, I eventually started to focus more on them. I eventually switched from my fairly simple camera to a Nikon D750 full frame camera, which I still enjoy to this day, but I must say that I also try to get the most out of my phone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max. With the right knowledge of photography you could go a long way with this!

Webdesign

In my younger years, during my high school years, I started creating websites. It all started with standard HTML and Flash. Over time I switched to WordPress. This is an open-source content management system (CMS) where you can build and design good and professional websites using free or paid themes. It is always a pleasure to combine a beautiful piece of technology with design and then produce a stunning end result!

Graphic Design

It is a profession in itself to create a beautiful corporate identity for a private individual or company. It is therefore self-evident to me that in addition to designing websites, I also focus on graphic design. What could be better than being able to put together a complete package in which all designs, such as the website, business cards and any other printed matter, are completely coordinated in terms of style. For graphic design, use Adobe Illustrator in general, but also Canva (Pro).
